Sustainable DC: The Top Five Ways DC is Going Green

Like many cities across the US, Washington, DC is adopting practices to minimize its environmental impact and maximize energy  efficiency. Washington now has a comprehensive 20-year plan called Sustainable DC that aims to make the city “the healthiest, greenest, and most livable city in the United States.”

How My Cousin Convinced Me to Apply

I had heard about the Quarter in Washington Program around campus—who could miss all those flyers? However, it was my cousin who convinced me to look into the program further.

Sitting down to lunch with family on the Fourth of July, my cousin suggested I look into the program that had led her to Washington several years ago.
